One picture a thousand words....3?...only this time the colors over the MED are spectacular...all in tones of BLUE...that special blue...with golden lined clouds over the mountains...what a gorgeous sunset!

Una foto vale mille parole...3?...solo questa volta i colori sopra il MED sono spettacolari...tutti in toni di BLUE...QUEL speciale blue...con le nuvole bordate di oro sopra le montagne a ponente...che tramonto meraviglioso!

SPRING IN A GLASS PRIMAVERA IN UN BICCHIERE

Spring in a glass or for that matter in a purple plastic bowl is a wonderful way to have fresh scallions at hand. Just put three toothpicks into the flesh of the onions which have begun to germinate, place the root part into a small glass with enough water so that it tickles the tips and watch them grow...just like we used to do with avocado seeds...onceuponatime. The purple bowl is full of iris bulbs which need to be planted ... sometime.

Primavera in un bicchiere o per quell in una ciotola di plastica viola è un modo bellissimo per avere cipolotti freschi sempre. Metti 3 stuzzicadenti nella cipolla che rimane a galla nel bicchiere con abbastanza acqua sotto che le radici vengono solleticati dal liquido e vedrai che scenderano crescendo nel umido e la parte verde salirà rigogliosa...facevamo proprio così con semi di avocado...onceuponatime. La ciotola viola è pieno di bulbi di iris che dovrebbero essere piantati...ungiornooaltro.

SEASONS STAGIONI

The meteomen keep threatening us that WINTER IS COMING...today the temps were at 21°C at 2 pm...that isn't very WINTER guys....what you see in the photo is WINTER seen from the WEST PORTICO...got it...night folks!
I meteomen continuano menarci con l'dea che INVERNO STA ARRIVANDO...oggi le temperature erano sulle 21° alle 14...non è tanto INVERNO gente...quello che vedete nella foto è INVERNO visto dal PORTICO A PONENTE...capite...notte gente!

NEW OIL 2013 OLIO NUOVO 2013

New Oil 2013....fruity olive flavour. Slight artichoke nip in the back of the throat. Thick olivey consistency. Acidity level below 0.01! Let's just say that it is wonderful!  PS: the sunshine coming in from the sliding glass doors reflecting in the bottle...but are we sure WINTER IS COMING?  ... temps today are 17° at 9:50!

Olio nuovo 2013...sapore fruttato. Leggero pizzico carciofoso in gola. Spessore e cosistenza oliva pura. Livello acidità sotto le 0.01! Diciamo che è meraviglioso! PS: il sole filtrando dentro le porte scorrevole della cucina riflettono sulla bottiglia...ma siamo sicuro che INVERNO STA ARRIVANDO?...temperature oggi 17° alle 9:50

Horizon Orizzonte

Horizon ... this evening ... olive trees shimmering silvery in the Autumn wind. It's cooler outside this evening. it's the colours folks...every view from the West Portico is Paradise ....

Orizonte...questa sera...alberi di ulivi argento scintillante nel vento Autunnale. Fa più fresco questa sera...è il colore gente...ogni vista dal Portico a ponente è Paradiso.

LEFT RIGHT HILLSIDE SUNSHINE - SINISTRA DESTRA SOLE COLLINARE

 There's something must be said for the view from my West Portico...let's just say VIEW is too small a word to contain all the colore, textures and various which sits just one hill over from where I live. The West Portico also faces the Meditteranean...but yesterday was just too beautiful to miss...the colors look like Fall and Indian Summer but actually it is just the sun shining and shadowing the fogliage of all the olive trees on that part of my world...the green in the front are my trees...dark wonderful promising green full of olives and waiting...for harvest...The Right foto is the middle of the hill which was in full sun...almost looks like a different hill doesn't it.Even the trees are a bluer green, with a shiney silver hue...views from the West Portico are paradise...



Ammetto che la vista dal Portico a Ponente è qualcosa da non perdere in giornate di pieno sole.La foto a sinistra sembrano i colori  d'Autunno e Indian summer anche se sono solo i giochi dei raggi sulle piante e olivi dando colore e spessore di tinte che erano poi usati dagli Impressionisti che venivano in questa zona durante gli anni del secolo scorso e prima.la foto a destra è la stessa collina vista dal centro del portico, visto in piena sole....sembra quasi una collina diversa vero? anche gli alberi d'ulivi sono quasi blue verde con ombre di argento lucido...il panorama dal Portico a Ponente - Paradiso
