ebook/real book - tecno/cartaceo

No pictures are necessary when you talk about ebooks/real books. Everyone already knows, or has, an ebook/many real books...yours truly even fell into the ebook snare with a wonderful little gadget called Nilox Megale Pocket book 2.0. Little love is actually a white multimedia thingie which shows films and plays music(both of which I still haven't figured out how to download). The ebook part is excellent and has a wonderful 5" screen which is lighted and I can read it in the dark of my bedroom(know how to download books). The fact is that I am not in love with Nilox and probably will never be able to fall in love with ebooks(except for the fact that they are lighter than real books cus you can haul around tons of books in a little white plastic thingie). At this point you're probably asking why can't I fall in love with Nilox? Simple...it lacks the tactile department totally. I still need that pacifier effect of paper under my fingers while I sip my hot cocoa or tea. Sort of feel naked when I'm holding that white plastic thingie in my hands and cliccking to turn a page. Sure it is easier than trying to hold together that much loved and used and read book which has about 100 pages unglued and every time you get to that part they sort of slide all over everywhere. But have you ever thought that reading a real book which is falling apart takes all sorts of physical and emotional and nervous activities. Keeping the pages intact while holding a full cup of hot coffee and in the meanwhich turning the pages excitedly just to get to THAT particular page. Well, that's the difference. Nilox can't give me that thrill. I can hold the cup, turn the page (not to the exact one where the excitement is cus in an ebook they're never on the same page as in the real ones). I can keep order in my library all in one little white plastic thingie...but it's just not the same. Sorry NILOX...you're not number one -yet.
